A no-age whisky from East London Liquor Company, this 2019 release has been matured in bourbon and rye casks from California distillery Sonoma Distilling Co., along with bourbon casks from Kentucky.
Just 500 bottles were produced.
East London Single Malt Whisky is a double-pot-distilled expression that has been matured in Bourbon and rye casks from Sonoma, plus Bourbon casks from Kentucky for at least three years.
Bottled at 47% ABV, it is said to have notes of milk chocolate, peanut butter and fresh hay on the nose, leading to bitter almond and biscuits on the palate, and a “slight vegetal” finish of green tomatoes and light tar.
