- Cygnet Gin is distilled using the freshest and purest of water that comes singing down the Cambrian Mountains. This magical water is married with the finest of botanicals and grain spirit to create the magic that we call “Cygnet Gin”.
- Cygnet Gin Botanicals… Juniper, lemon peel, lime peel, pink grapefruit peel, orange peel, liquorice root, orris root, coriander seed, angelica root, cardamom seed, almond and chamomile.
- The botanical core at the heart of the Cygnet Gin recipe, was laid down in the 1850s by Peter Wakely, a Docksman in the Port of Swansea, and Great Great Grandfather of our Founder and present day Master Distiller, David Wakely.
- It was on discovering this ancient recipe in a family heirloom book, that gave David the inspiration and basis for reviving his forebears work for a new generation of gin aficionado.
- Located in South Wales, Cygnet Distillery is Wales’ first live micro distillery and the only distillery in the centre of Swansea! At the heart of the distillery is the 300 litre Arnold Holstein copper pot still, which produces a smooth and pure spirit using traditional London Dry methods.
